Services
Social workers can support clients of our service with the following:
- Biopsychosocial Assessments – A comprehensive, thorough and wholistic exploration of a person’s biological, psychological and sociological wellbeing. It is used to identify any gaps in a person’s wellbeing and is a starting point for service provision.
- Counselling – A strengths-based and person-centered approach focusing on empowerment, resilience, self-determination and autonomy.
- Advocacy – Supporting clients in our service to navigate systemic challenges and to make sure clients are listened to, their welfare is being maintained, and their concerns and needs are being addressed.
- Referrals – Connecting clients with vital and important community, social, medical and government services.
- Group Programmes – Offered throughout the year and co-facilitated by social work students. Clients will be encouraged to register their interest at reception once programmes are advertised.
As part of a multidisciplinary service, social workers can also provide opportunities to link in with other members of our in-house allied health team if the need arises.
